I am praying for my Vise Family

Dear Vise Family,

Today I am praying for you. We are a large family from a small town that have scattered all over God's Earth. Even though we are large, we have always stayed close at heart. It is families like ours that can help Christians be a shining light to the world We are not perfect but we push forward thru thick and thin. We've seen troubles and sorrow but still we go forward with faith. I personally have faith that I feel was passed down to me from my incredible and wonderful Grandparents. There are so many days that I wish I could talk to them, to share with them the lessons I've learned and the awesome blessings I've been given. It is that strong foundation in our Lord Jesus Christ that has kept us together - even when the miles keep us apart.

So, my Vise family, this is what I am praying. Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the wonderful brothers and sisters that you have placed in the Vise Family. You have sent us to all corners of the Earth but you have never left us. Please Lord, keep your glorious hands of blessing, protection, provision, health and healing upon this family. May we continue to be strong for each other and be supportive to one another. Let us always know that we can count on anyone in this family and on you Lord, at all times. I am so thankful for this family, I am so thankful for the foundation that has been laid, I am thankful for the memories that have been made and the memories to come. Lord, keep us in your hands of safety and love. In these things I prayer, in the name of your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

I am praying for the Church

Dear American Church,

Today I am praying for you. It's not easy to be a bible based church in America these days. It seems that mainstream America wants an "everything will be fine, do what you need for yourself, you deserve all those treasures and just do what feels good" church. America wants to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to what is going on in our government, schools and homes. When a church stands for something besides the "good life" or being "politically correct" or being "tolerant", then they are labeled as ignorant, intolerant, hypocritical, racist or bigots. When the members of a church believe that the Bible is true and try to live by the commandments and directions provided by God in the Bible, they are viewed as mindless, brainless followers who cannot think for themselves. It hard to be a church that will stand against what is popular and instead choose what is right. It is difficult to lead your congregation when there are so many wolves surrounding us in sheep's clothing.

So, American Church, this is my prayer for you. Dear Heavenly Father, Please place your loving hand of protection on our church. Lead the church to teach your word as it was written, as it was intended, as you desired. Open their ears to your voice, open their heart to your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see your Son. Help the church to focus more on the souls to be found instead of the money to be received. Help the pastors to be strong and stand firm. Help the congregation to read, learn, believe and witness for their faith. May church become of place of refreshment, worship, conviction and true salvation. I pray all of these things in the matchless name of your Son Jesus Christ - Amen.

I am praying for our President

Dear Mr. President.

Today I am praying for you. Regardless of our difference in viewpoints, as God's chosen leader for this particular time, it is still my duty and right to pray for you each day. Because I pray for you does not mean that I agree with you. It does not mean that I will conform to what you say or do things that I don't believe in. What it does mean it that I will trust that God has a plan - even if I don't understand. However, I will not go quietly into the night. I will not stop fighting for the America that I love. I will not stop serving the God who chose me to be His child.

So, Mr President, this is my prayer today. Dear Heavenly Father. Please lay your hand of understanding upon our President. Stand with him so that he can make wise decisions for America and her people. Place a weight of conviction on his heart to think of country first and self last. Put words of unity in his mouth and courage in his soul. When he speaks to the country and completes his speech with "and may God bless America" - make him feel your presence to the very tip of his toes. Lord - I will always trust the your will be done and even if I don't understand, I will believe that it is the right plan for your children. I ask these things in the name of your holy Son Jesus Christ - Amen

I am praying for America

Dear America,

I am praying for you today. My prayer comes from 2 Chronicles 7:14 - "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

As we celebrated your 234th birthday this week thoughts of early American life, the American Dream and the reality of American today washed over me like a cold winter ocean wave. You have come a long way since those days of the revolution but I wonder today if we've gone too far. It is too late to re-establish the principles, morals and values that made this a great nation? Have we traded in our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness to be tolerant and politically correct.

So my prayer for you America is: Dear Heavenly Father, I call on your name today for my wonderful country America. She is a beautiful country Lord fill with some many wonders. Her people are the most spectacular in all the world. But she needs your help Lord. Her people are forgetting their roots, their ancestors, their beginnings. Her people are mighty and wonderful but they are losing their way. They have allowed tolerance and fear keep them from taking a stand for their country and their way of life. America is still the best country in the world but I fear she is faltering. Lord, please hears these cries for help for America and her people. For her leaders in government and in the churches who should be asking for your guidance and directing the people in your ways. For her workers who can't find jobs and her children who are struggling to get a safe education. America is in desperate need of your healing, protection, direction and most of all your forgiveness. Lord, once again reach out your hands of blessing upon this great nation and help her to regain the strength to be the Godly nation and world leader that you created her to be. I ask these in the name of your holy Son Jesus Christ - Amen.
